Language and culture are crucial components in modern society.
🌱 I endeavour to enhance the Chinese-learning experience by building an environment where you can easily surround yourself with Chinese without it being overbearing. And learn something new in the process 😉.
🌿 I hope to build an ecosystem to bridge the gap between beginner and higher level Chinese fluency without having to fly to the other side of the world to be immersed in the language and culture.
🌴 I intend to use this platform to advocate for positive change.
A lot of racial discrimination is a result of not understanding the target culture. By exploring Chinese culture and the language of racism and discrimination together, I hope future generations won’t have to hear the racial slurs I’ve heard growing up. I am a firm believer of education as a force for change. I believe that, together, we can eliminate institutional, structural and systemic racism.
